Am I A Candidate For This Treatment?
We treat most skin types, and new laser technology has yielded a safe experience for clients with darker skin types. During your consultation appointment, we will determine if you are a good candidate for this treatment.
Lighter hair is very difficult for the laser to treat because the pigment in the hair is what attracts the laser beam in order to destroy the hair growth. Dark-haired clients with fair skin are the easiest clients to treat, but we would love to see you for a free consultation to let you know if you are a good candidate.
We suggest our patients with a history of genital herpes, who are treating their bikini area, take Valtrex to prevent an outbreak. There seems to be a slightly increased incidence of herpes outbreaks in patients with a history of genital herpes. Similarly, for patients with a history of frequent fever blisters on their lips, who are having treatment on the lip or chin, we recommend the same antiviral preventative measures. If we have seen you in consultation, we are able to prescribe the medication for you, or you may get a prescription from your personal physician.
We do not treat pregnant patients. Should you become pregnant during laser hair removal sessions, we simply finish your package after you deliver. We do, however, treat nursing women.
How Do I Prepare For This Treatment?
There are two main steps to take before a hair removal treatment:

What Can I Expect During Treatment?

The DiolazeXL hand-held device will be held over the treatment area and emit a burst of light. The technician will repeat this action until the particular area has been treated.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?

If you received treatment along your face you will need to wait for twenty-four hours before applying a thin layer of makeup. Over the next four weeks, the treated hair will fall out. Wearing sunscreen during this time will keep your skin healthy and protected.
